Name and use of aluminum

It is named after Du International alloy design system. Each alloy has a four digit number, of which the first digit is the main element.

The 1000 series Shu contains at least 99% aluminum by weight.

The strength of 2000 series copper alloy is comparable to that of steel. Duralumin, formerly known as duralumin, is a commonly used Aerospace alloy, but it is susceptible to intergranular corrosion and is gradually replaced by 7000 series.

3000 series manganese alloy, with work hardening.

4000 series silicon alloy, also known as sialumine.

5000 series magnesium alloy, can solve work hardening, strength comparable to steel.

6000 series magnesium silicon alloy, easy to process, deposition hardening, the strength is not very high.

7000 series zinc alloy, precipitation hardening, the highest strength of all aluminum alloys.

8000 Series Hybrid.
